A little about me…
This cyber world is all a little freaky to me at the present moment, however as a teacher in training I think I better begin to face the music and explore this whole new world! I grew up in Moose Jaw (yes that’s correct the city in which every comedian enjoys to joke about). I’m not going to lie though…I really love my home town. I have one older sister who was just recently married and two fabulous parents! I graduated from Vanier Collegiate in French Immersion…mais mon francais est past vraiment bien maintenant parce que je pratique pas beaucoup. Before entering university I actually took four years off…YIKES where does time go? My first year out of highschool I lived out in the Rockies. I love the Canadian Rockies, it was just something I always wanted to do. I worked at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for about 8 months and had the time of my life! I saved up some money and decided I would go off traveling for a year. I headed off to Australia. The plan was to travel Oz, than Thailand and then I was going to head to the United States to visit my sister who was at the time living in Rhode Island…..but things don’t always go as plan to they?Four months into my backpacking adventures in Oz I was in a bus accident. I was on an overnight bus and at about 4 in the morning our bus hit the ditch. I broke my lower back (L1 to be exact) and had to spend six nights in hospital. Thank goodness I had insurance…and I was in an English speaking country! I had to return home to do some physio and get back on my feet. I recovered very speedily and still had an itch to travel. I decided however to remain in my own beautiful country this time. I went to live out in Halifax for the summer. I LOVE Halifax…it was the best summer ever. I hope that some day soon I can go to Newfoundland.Wow ok so I don’t really want to ramble on to much longer here…there is only so much a person really wants to read about another. I then took a year of bible school and then worked a little in a group home until I found out I was accepted into the faculty of Education at the University of Regina! I am majoring in Health and my minor is special ed.

Thanks Leanne.
I really like what you have done with your blog so far. It’s becoming a nice personalized space.
I am happy that you got a chance to explore the world. In some ways, I wish all teachers had a chance to do this. I think it makes some of the important principles that I teach about more relevant … connecting to other human beings across the planet.
Sorry to hear about your accident, glad you are OK. I had a really bad accident in Greece a couple of years back, and I know how it is to be in a hospital in a different country.
One thing to consider: create more links within your text … links to pages and people. This really helps the blogging experience.
